I previously gave a glowing review of this local smoke shop a few weeks ago since I'm a regular customer there. I subsequently had a negative experience there I felt I needed to retract my positive review and share my most recent experience which was not a good one. On 12/4/24 at around 2PM I purchased a glass piece (a bubbler which I found to be a little overpriced but ohh well) I purchased it and after I paid for it the guy at the counter hands me the glass piece in a plastic bag. (Typically when you buy a glass piece at most smoke shops the counter person will wrap it up for you in bubble wrap or some sort of protective packaging, Evidently, not here.) so the counter person asks me if I needed a lighter as I was about to turn and leave the store as he handed me the lighter the bag with the glass piece made contact with the glass case that separates the store employees and the customers and it broke as he was handing me a free lighter. We both stood there as if we were in a staring contest for what seemed to be an extended period of time awkward and uncomfortable I was expecting him to say something like let me replace that for you. I haven't even left the store yet and the already overpriced item I just purchased at $25 breaks as he's handing me something I could have done without in the first place. We are both looking at each other. He offers to SELL me a replacement. I was in shock that he didn't offer to replace it at no cost to me but was kind of rushing me out of the store worried that the owner would be watching the cameras and I was in the store for an extended period of time and he made me pay another 15 dollars to replace the item. To say that I left the store very unhappy
